2008 – Present Associate Partner – Gurney Consulting Engineers
Promoted to Associate Partner in April 2008 with additional responsibilities relating to administration of the practice, staff training and all aspects of design information.Project co-ordinator on term contracts with Frimley Park Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and Surrey County Council, including Surrey Police.
1996 – 2008 Gurney Consulting Engineers
Employed as a project/senior engineer with duties similar to 1987-1994 but with emphasis on project management, liasing with clients and design teams, leading design and draughting teams.  Scheme design, general design with the use of CAD progammes and competence using AutoCAD draughting software.In house project management of multi million pound projects including multi storey concrete flat slab housing, offices in steelwork and concrete, housing estates (civil and structural aspects) and warehousing having overall control of design and draughting activities in house and external agencies.  Attending project and site meetings, site supervision, reporting direct to the partner concerned.Recent projects include multi-storey RC framed housing, multi storey steel framed hotel complex, housing estates including design of properties, roads and drainage for adoption.

After being made redundant from Gurney Consulting Engineers due to low work load, employed by MM&P as design technician designing multi storey steel frames, portal frames and RC foundations for piling projects and fire boundary conditions.

Employed as a Structural Technician gaining experience in design of reinforced concrete, steel, timber and masonry.  Supervisory duties of draughtsmen, draughting agencies and designers to complete projects reporting to the partner concerned.Investigation and scheme preparation for refurbishment to office building and fire damaged properties.
